SPEECH PATHOLOGY FEES
NDIS CLIENTS
Clients with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans will be charged for direct and indirect services at the stipulated hourly rate in accordance with rules of the NDIS price guide. Please note fees are currently set below the NDIS price guide allowable fees.
DIRECT SERVICES

Assessment, intervention, case conferencing
INDIRECT SERVICES

Test analysis, report writing, resource production, documentation of progress notes or care plans.
An initial assessment report may be recommended. All NDIS clients require an intervention summary and recommendations report in preparation for plan review which usually takes 2 hours.
travel
$120ph
Charged pro rata up to 30min in accordance with NDIS price guide. The return trip may be charged for the last client of the day.

Assessment may require multiple appointments depending on the complexity of assessment and individual factors such as attention. Please discuss your specific needs with the Speech Pathologist. All assessments include a report.

COMPReHENSIVE Language and Literacy Assessment

This usually involves 2 appointments of up to 90 minutes each
Language and Social Skills Assessment

This usually involves 2 appointments of up to 90 minutes each. The time required to complete this assessment may varying depending on the age, complexity and purpose of the assessment.
Complex Communication Assessment
$160ph
Assessment of complex communication needs including AAC feature matching may take multiple appointments. The time taken will vary depending on needs.
REPORT writing
$160ph
A brief summary of key findings will be provided. If you require a comprehensive written report for the purposes of differential diagnosis, funding applications, NDIS Access Requests, NDIS Assistive Technology Funding Applications, Dyslexia or Autism Diagnostic Reports, or reports for schools, handover or other service providers a fee and timeframe will be negotiated with you. The time required may vary from 1-2 hours depending upon complexity.
Rebates
Rebates which may apply
NDIS
Red Hen Speech Pathology can provide services to NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. I am unable to accept referrals for agency-managed NDIS clients at this time.
Private Health Insurance
Most private health insurance policies with extras cover includes Speech Pathology services. The amount of cover per appointment and annual limits vary depending on your insurer and level of cover. I recommend that you contact your health insurer to discuss your specific policy and rebates that may be available. Red Hen Speech Pathology is registered with most private health insurers. Please contact me if you would like to obtain further information.
Medicare
Some clients may be eligible for medicare rebates under different primary care programs. Discuss your needs and eligibility with your GP.
Chronic Disease Management
Some clients may be eligible for up to 5 appointments at a subsidized rate under the Chronic Disease Management Plan. You or your child may be eligible if you/they have a chronic medical condition that is likely to last more than 6 months. Fee Changes
Please note that effective 1st July 2024, the hourly rate for all services will increase to $160ph (except for travel).
