These fees apply to ALL clients who are not NDIS participants seeking an initial assessment. This includes, any clients who: pay Red Hen Speech Pathology directly; use an Enhanced Primary Care/Chronic Disease Management Plan under Medicare; or who wish to claim rebates from their Private Health Insurance. Clients seen under a CDM/EPC plan, private health insurance or full fee-paying. This fee includes travel and documentation of outcomes and recommendations. Red Hen Speech Pathology provides services within the following city council regions: Cockburn, Fremantle, Canning, Gosnells, Armadale, Belmont, South Perth, Victoria Park and Melville. Please note that appointments are subject to availability and coordination of travel with other appointments is a consideration.

Most private health insurance policies with extras cover includes Speech Pathology services. The amount of cover per appointment and annual limits vary depending on your insurer and level of cover. I recommend that you contact your health insurer to discuss your specific policy and rebates that may be available. Red Hen Speech Pathology is registered with most private health insurers. Medicare
Some clients may be eligible for medicare rebates under different primary care programs. Discuss your needs and eligibility with your GP.
Chronic Disease Management/Enhanced Primary Care
Some clients may be eligible for up to 5 appointments at a subsidized rate under the CDM/EPC Plan. You or your child may be eligible if you/they have a chronic medical condition that is likely to last more than 6 months. Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and eligible disabilties- Assessment/Intervention
Upon referral from the Paediatrician or GP, some clients may be eligible for Medicare rebates to assist with the cost of differential diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or for early intervention whilst awaiting NDIS eligiblity determination. Please note, medicare rebates only cover a portion of the cost. More information can be found at
NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed will be charged for services at the stipulated hourly rate in accordance with rules of the NDIS price guide. I am unable to accept referrals for agency-managed NDIS clients at this time.
Assessment, intervention, case conferencing
Test analysis, report writing, resource production, documentation of progress notes or care plans. Most therapy sessions will require 15min of indirect time to complete administration tasks. Assistive Technology applications/recommendations are required for any AAC. All NDIS clients require an intervention summary and recommendations report in preparation for plan review which usually takes 2 hours.
Charged pro rata up to 30min in accordance with NDIS price guide. The return trip may be charged for the last client of the day.
